# Cemas.my — Free Edge AI Monitoring, In Your Phone, No Cloud

Cemas.my is a free web-based monitor cemas (Malay for "worrying experience") with on-device edge AI. You don't download an app, you don't buy hardware, and you don't need a cloud server. You open Cemas.my in the browser on any phone or laptop that runs Chrome, point it at what you want to watch, and it calls you when something matters.

Cemas was made in Malaysia. The word "cemas" in Malay means anxious, worried, or a panic situation — and Cemas exists to catch "cemas situations" early: a fall in the bathroom, a cry in the night, smoke in the kitchen, a fight, an intruder, or anything you personally want to watch for.

## What Cemas is

- A site watchdog that turns your phone camera into a smart, always-on monitor.
- 100% on-device AI. The models are downloaded once and run locally on your device via WebAssembly (WASM). Detection is instant and private.
- A "brain", not a camera. Nothing is recorded, nothing is uploaded. It only calls when something matters.

## How it works

1. Open Cemas.my in Chrome (Android preferred; iPhones work too).
2. Choose what to watch for — from ready-made events or by typing your own.
3. The AI model downloads once onto your device and then runs offline.
4. When an event is detected with enough confidence, Cemas notifies you by phone call, WhatsApp, Telegram, or your own webhook.
5. Your images and video stay on your device. Only event telemetry (what happened, when, how confident) is sent, never the image or video.

No account is needed to start. An optional free account adds history and lets a whole family receive the alerts together.

## What Cemas can detect

- Falls, lying down, sitting, and standing posture (elderly monitoring, falls detection).
- Screams, crying (baby/child), bangs, breaking glass, and other sounds.
- Fire and smoke.
- Fight / violence: punches and kicks between two or more people.
- Gestures and hand signals (including custom finger gestures).
- Emotions.
- Objects (you can add your own object or sound model).
- Anything you name — Watch Anything lets you type your own criteria in your own words.

- Webhook (paste any endpoint that supports JSON).
- On-device beep and browser/PWA notification.

## Privacy & security

- Runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly (WASM). The AI model is downloaded once and runs on your phone.
- No servers, no cloud. Detection runs offline on the phone itself.
- We never send your image or video anywhere. Only event telemetry (what happened, when, how confident) is sent so your family can be alerted.
- Does not need the internet to keep watching after the model is downloaded — it only needs a connection to download the model and to send an alert ping.
